Dellside Reserve is one of the largest reserves in Tasman District, stretching across the Richmond foothills from Cropp Place to Hill Street, covering over 21 hectares.

The most popular spots in Dellside include Reservoir Creek, the Jimmy Lee Creek Walkway and of course the aptly named Picnic Gully.

Dellside Reserve offers a great variety of walking tracks, ranging from easy 30 minute strolls to steeper, tougher tramps taking up to two hours. It has a diverse range of environments within one area: pine plantations, native forest and poplar woodlands. The walks that take you up to the fire lookout offer incredible views over Richmond and beyond. Some of the walking tracks can be steep and quite rough in places and not all creeks are bridged so strong footwear is recommended.

Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a leash in some areas – doggy doo bags are provided to assist dog owners tidy up after their canine friends and keep the walking tracks clean for everyone.

Cyclists are welcome on most Dellside tracks but some have been designated for walkers only so please keep an eye out for the signs relating to that.

There is a public toilet within the reserve.
